Steeped and Nourishing Cookies giveaway
I’m excited to offer another giveaway as part of our 12 Days of Christmas series! I’ve had so much fun featuring Christmas worthy recipes and giveaways. If you’ve missed any of the series so far, check out the following links: Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix (dairy-free), Apple Oatmeal Mini Loaves Almond Roca, 18 Unique Christmas Gifts, Win Ladled: Nourishing Soups for All Seasons, Chile Spiked Dark Chocolate Bark with Mango, Easy Peasy Caramel Sauce, Rosehip and Hibiscus Tea Gift Set, all of which make wonderful gifts!

Today we are featuring two eBooks that are full of nourishing and delicious recipes.

Nourishing Cookies cover

First, we have an eBook featuring traditional holiday cookies featuring real food ingredients, Nourishing Cookies for a Healthy Holiday. (Affiliate links). Recipes include delights such as Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, Mexican Orange Cookies, No Bake Coconut Snowballs, Buttered Cutout Cookies, and more. These recipes are perfect for sharing with others. I think that this book’s strength is building a bridge between how a “nourishing foodie” family eats, and the typical American friend that you’d like to share cookies with.

While most of them aren’t gluten-free (we eat a gluten-free diet), I find these recipes useful as we still make cookies to share with others that don’t use our expensive gluten-free sprouted flours, but are still made with wonderful real food ingredients. It’s a wonderful resource for us as we head into Christmas cookie season ahead! It’s a great way to show friends how lovely real food cookies can be. The author, Diana from My Humble Kitchen, has done us all a service by writing this lovely book.

The second book we are giving away is Steeped: Simple Nourishing Teas and Treats. This wonderful eBook is written by one of the Steeped coverwriters here at The Nourishing Gourmet!  Katie Stanley is a lovely person who not only is a great cook, but shares her love and life with deaf girls in a home in Mexico. Her latest recipe here is the great recipe for a dairy-free Double Hot Chocolate mix, which is perfect for gift giving. (She blogs at Nourishing Simplicity as well)

In this 115-page eBook, Katie shares many wonderful recipes for scones, muffins, sorbets and ice cream, sandwiches, your own tea blends, and more. This is such a perfect example of lovely, nourishing, sweet foods. I think that tea time is such a sad lost art, and we all would be better for making time to relax with a cup of good tea in our hand, and a scone in front of us, perhaps while chatting with a good friend. So I was really excited about this eBook, as I think it will inspire you to have fun with teatime in your house! But, of course, many of the recipes can be enjoyed at breakfast, or as dessert, or for lunches as well. Katie also soaks her whole grain ingredients for better nutrition and digestibility and naturally sweetens her recipes s well, which I find a huge plus. Like Diana’s eBook, this one is also not gluten-free (just a for-your-information, as I know I have some gluten-free readers here).

I have only seen the first installment of the magazine you were going to do – nourishing recipes for each season based on Weston A. Price. Maybe you have been publishing more of these, and I have missed them. I would love to see more!

I would love these! We have so many allergies that we would love natural cookie recipes (that are usually easily convertible for our allergies). Also, my son, who has the most allergies, loves tea! What a great way for us to get together as a family over tea and cookies! God bless you! We love all of your work and have all of your cookbooks! Keep going! How about one on fermented foods (which are incorporated in your other books, but which I find hard to incorporate in my life!)?

I’d love a book on one-pot meals or something quick, easy and kid-friendly. I’m asking for the moon, aren’t I? I’ve been trying to come up with one pot, include all meals for kids’ lunches (something that has meat, veggies, some sort of starch and good fats). I can dream, right??

I love the ideas above about quick meals for busy nights, and the freezer one. I know this one probably wouldn’t be useful for most, but cooking for large families…or maybe for parties~ to make it more practical for others. 🙂

I would love to learn how to dehydrate/can/save fruits, veges, soups, meats, broths, etc and recipes that go with them all. Would love to learn all the tips and tricks to canning homemade/home grown foods. I have heard there is a way to use your oven instead of a dehydrator.
