Some of you know that I am working on a new book project. I haven’t heard back from the publisher whether or not I can release the name of my upcoming cookbook, but I am getting pretty excited about it! It has made me focus a lot on recipe testing lately, which has affected my blogging here. (I also was gone for a week for a brother-in-law’s wedding last week too). I apologize for that, and I am antsy to share a whole backload of ideas, recipes and thoughts with you when I get the chance.
Meanwhile, I have some spots open for being a recipe tester. I love to have my recipes tested out by real people – the type of people who would want to read/buy my cookbook.
If you (and those you may cook for) don’t mind trying a wide variety of foods and flavors, if you have time to do try a new recipe or two, every week or so, and to give feedback to me on it, and aren’t on a terribly tight budget (you may need to buy certain ingredients that aren’t in your cupboard), I’d love to have you join the crew of recipe testers!
If this appeals to you, just use the contact form to ask for more information! And, there were a couple of people who asked about recipe testing on facebook or on this blog whom I lost track of. If that is you, please (please!) mention your name to me again and this time I will be sure to get you the info you need!

I would be interested! I am trying new recipes all the time because 1) I often don’t like to eat the same thing very often and 2) I am new to the REAL FOOD way of eating and am learning and eating GOOD FOOD!

I would be more than happy to test some recipes! I have a family member with a shellfish allergy, so I would not be able to test those, but I would test anything else. We are a family of 8, so you would get LOTS of opinions!

I would love to test recipes! I work seasonally and am off until December, so I have time to cook. I’m also in a cooking rut for my family, so this would bring me out of it! I’m willing to get any ingredients. We raise all our own meat, so we have tons of beef, poultry, and pork to experiment with. Sounds like a great opportunity to learn some new recipes!

Yes, I would love to try your recipes as long as they are vegan.
KimiHarris
David,
Vegan recipes certainly aren’t the main thrust of my cookbook as a “traditionalist cook”, but there will be some vegan recipes. Perhaps I can create a list of vegan/vegetarian testers. 🙂

Recipe testing would be awesome!

I’m willing to be a tester. I’m moderately experienced with traditional food and preparation. My partner is more picky than me but willing to at least taste most things. I also have 2 step children for w few evenings a week who are very picky.
I’m free to test until sept when school starts up and then all bets are off.
Brittany
I’d be willing to test out some recipes! I’ve got a houseful of food-loving boys who, I’m sure, would love to do some taste-testing as well. 🙂
Kathy
Would love more info…in my life before kids I used to work as a taste-tester.

I would love to be a recipe tester. I am gluten and dairy free, and I love getting new recipes for that. You have some great ones! My recipes from you are growing practically daily!

I love to cook and try new recipes and my husband and stepson are great guinea pigs! Plus I love cooking from scratch and rarely fix the already prepared meals. I don’t eat seafood but they do, so I can always cook those recipes for them.
Tammy
I would love to try out new recipes. I am always looking for new ideas for meals!
Dena Hamlin
Ohhh I would love to! I cook almost 100% of my family’s meals at home. So I am always looking for something new, healthy and tasty to try!

I lead a women’s mentoring group called Gathered Together that (among other things) cooks together – we’d love to test your recipes and give group feedback! Our group consists of women of all ages/stages of life who are great cooks and who are always interested in learning new techniques and experimenting with new recipes for healthy cooking. Most of us have enjoyed the book Nourishing Traditions. Some of our members are veteran GF and DF cooks. Just let me know if you still need more testers!

I was on the hunt for weeks to find ume plum vinegar so I could make your Asian cabbage salad (and found it, and make the salad a few times a month)… count me in if you need more :).

I’d love to get more information on testing recipes! My sister was able to do so for your last book and it was great fun to try them out. Thanks for offering this to your readers!

I’d be happy to try recipes and provide feedback. My daughter is 19 and is a celiac, so we’d be great at gluten free recipes. She’s been diagnosed for nearly 10 years and is a GF expert!

I would love to be a tester. We are on the GAPS diet so we could only do recipes that were GAPS friendly…or, if you want someone to have ntoes for alternatives I could try them modified. 😉

I would love to test out your recipes! I live in New Orleans, so we’re pretty serious about our food down here. I’m an avid cook and am willing to try anything and everything!

If you still need testers, we’d love to help. We’re a family of 6, four of them being boys ages 6 to 12. I’ve done a fair bit of traditional cooking and shouldn’t have trouble finding “hard to find” items….I may even have some of them already!
