Some of you know that I am working on a new book project. I haven’t heard back from the publisher whether or not I can release the name of my upcoming cookbook, but I am getting pretty excited about it! It has made me focus a lot on recipe testing lately, which has affected my blogging here. (I also was gone for a week for a brother-in-law’s wedding last week too). I apologize for that, and I am antsy to share a whole backload of ideas, recipes and thoughts with you when I get the chance.

Meanwhile, I have some spots open for being a recipe tester. I love to have my recipes tested out by real people – the type of people who would want to read/buy my cookbook.

If you (and those you may cook for) don’t mind trying a wide variety of foods and flavors, if you have time to do try a new recipe or two, every week or so, and to give feedback to me on it, and aren’t on a terribly tight budget (you may need to buy certain ingredients that aren’t in your cupboard), I’d love to have you join the crew of recipe testers!

If this appeals to you, just use the contact form to ask for more information! And, there were a couple of people who asked about recipe testing on facebook or on this blog whom I lost track of. If that is you, please (please!) mention your name to me again and this time I will be sure to get you the info you need!

I am a Chef, recently graduated, that owns my own restaurant in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I have a commercial kitchen and so am amply equipped. Winter is a very “slow” time of year for our restaurant and I would love to test recipes and critique/evaluate them. It would further enhance my culinary studies. I have been cooking since I was 10 years old!

    Hello Kimberly,

Recently I have made a decision to change my career of 20 years. This weekend, I made the choice to become a recipe tester. There is a long story behind the decision I won’t go into unless you decide you want to talk. I have watched a friend do it for several other cookbooks & know I can do it, even better. I know what it takes as I’ve watched & helped her first hand. I have been cooking not as a “job” for 30 + years, I love to cook PERIOD!.
So I’d love to have the opportunity to talk to you, and be considered for the job. I WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY! Christine

    hello Kimi

I am a professional chef looking for a change in “food creation”:) At this time I have a very successful catering company…. but….. its a tad stressful at certain times:) I would love to be one of your testers. Nutrition has been a way of life since I was born. I always try to find different ways to get more nutrition into each dish. I am sure I would be well suited for your new recipe book.
Looking forward to hearing more from you kimi.
    kind regards
    Derrie

    hi
I have extensive experience as a baker as well as having a great passion (and I hope I can say…talent) for cooking as well. I have written a cookbook in the past and now that I am semi retired from my life in the food and bev industry, I am looking for work as a recipe tester. Althogh baking is my primary love, I am happy to test in all areas.

I really hope you’re still looking!
    Thanks so much

    Hi Kimberly,

Came across your website and saw that you are looking for recipe testers. I thought how great is that. Doing what I enjoy most which is cooking and baking without thinking if I can afford all the ingredients. How great is that! So if you are still looking…

    Hi Kim,

I don’t know if you are still looking for recipe testers, but I would be VERY interested. I am an at-home cook who has been testing recipes for 35 years. I try at least one new recipe every day from the hundreds of cookbooks and magazines that I own. I always wondered if there would be a job available for recipe testing, which is my passion. The ones that I’ve rated highest are copied into special “favorites” books. Over the years, I imagine that I have tried thousands of new recipes. I love cooking and baking and am always looking to make something different. You never know what will come out of my kitchen!

    Thank you

    Cheryl
