Want to be a recipe tester for my upcoming cookbook?

June 11, 2012 by KimiHarris 183 Comments

Some of you know that I am working on a new book project. I haven’t heard back from the publisher whether or not I can release the name of my upcoming cookbook, but I am getting pretty excited about it! It has made me focus a lot on recipe testing lately, which has affected my blogging here. (I also was gone for a week for a brother-in-law’s wedding last week too). I apologize for that, and I am antsy to share a whole backload of ideas, recipes and thoughts with you when I get the chance.

Meanwhile, I have some spots open for being a recipe tester. I love to have my recipes tested out by real people – the type of people who would want to read/buy my cookbook.

If you (and those you may cook for) don’t mind trying a wide variety of foods and flavors, if you have time to do try a new recipe or two, every week or so, and to give feedback to me on it, and aren’t on a terribly tight budget (you may need to buy certain ingredients that aren’t in your cupboard), I’d love to have you join the crew of recipe testers!

If this appeals to you, just use the contact form to ask for more information! And, there were a couple of people who asked about recipe testing on facebook or on this blog whom I lost track of. If that is you, please (please!) mention your name to me again and this time I will be sure to get you the info you need!

I would love to test recipes! I enjoy cooking real food! We try to make everything from scratch. We have eight in our family (6 children under twelve), keep a large garden using organic practices, and occasionally sell our extras at the local farmer’s market.

We’d be happy to test our recipes – we’re vegetarian, but would happily test anything that doesn’t include meat or fish. Eggs are ok, and diary products.

I would love to test out some recipes. I do not have a website. However, i am on PINTEREST and I have a food board entitled Food Craves Me. When you get a chance, take a look at it i’m sure you will enjoy it.

I usually cook from scratch, and i am always interested in basic good food that is flexible enough to serve for just me and my hubby, or with the grandsons, or with my girlfriends or for a large extended family gathering.

Please keep me in mind and good luck with your cookbook.
