“All her days were written in Your book, before one of them came to be”
Psalm 139

My mother in law peacefully passed away last night. We are so glad that she is out of pain and in a much better place. Yesterday, even while being so near death, she was able to communicate her love for all of us. But we miss her. We are so thankful for the last few months. Lots of memories and special times. Most of all, we are grateful for her life and all that she meant to us and all that she invested in us. We are grateful to God for all of the time we had together and trust in His loving kindness.

“All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”
– C.S. Lewis, The Last Battle

Hi! I am new to this website also. As a matter of fact, the first e-mail I’ve received was this one. It will only be a short while in the eyes of God until we’re reunited with our loved ones gone before us — just a blink! Sitting at the feet of Jesus! What a beautiful sight! May His Holy Spirit comfort you with love and peace.

so very sorry to learn of your loss. how wonderful that you had the common bond of the love of Jesus and were able to build so many beautiful memories of time spent with her. while you will one day see her again and can take comfort in that fact, it is still difficult to not have your loved one with you any longer on this earth and for that reason i will keep you in my prayers. God bless.

I first read it today on Josh’s blog and I thought the same thing as Jen who commented earlier, she truly is celebrating Independence Day… the Son has set her free and she is Free Indeed!

    Kimi,

I met you and Mrs. Harris at one of the earliest Rebelution conferences… and now I grieve with you at the earthly loss of her death. Praying for you and your family during this challenging time. Losing a dear friend – and the mother of your best earthly friend, is a great struggle. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

    Dear Kimi:

I am thinking of you, your family and Sono. What a beautiful tribute and what a beautiful picture of her! My husband and I practice tai chi and at the end of each practice, there is a moment where we do a movement called “carrying tigers” and this is where we remember all those who have passed or else who need thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow we will carry tigers for you, your family and Sono in our tai chi practice.
