“All her days were written in Your book, before one of them came to be” Psalm 139
My mother in law peacefully passed away last night. We are so glad that she is out of pain and in a much better place. Yesterday, even while being so near death, she was able to communicate her love for all of us. But we miss her. We are so thankful for the last few months. Lots of memories and special times. Most of all, we are grateful for her life and all that she meant to us and all that she invested in us. We are grateful to God for all of the time we had together and trust in His loving kindness.
“All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”

Oh…. my heart goes out to your whole family. I can tell how special and loving Sono is just by her picture. I’m sure you will miss her — but how wonderful to know where she is, peaceful and without pain, and that you will see her again!
Hi! I am new to this website also. As a matter of fact, the first e-mail I’ve received was this one. It will only be a short while in the eyes of God until we’re reunited with our loved ones gone before us — just a blink! Sitting at the feet of Jesus! What a beautiful sight! May His Holy Spirit comfort you with love and peace.
So sad to hear of Sono’s passing, but so thankful that she is at peace with our Lord!
What a heritage she left you all. I pray God’s richest blessings on your family as you gather together to celebrate her victory. She is now part of the great cloud of witnesses who will be cheering you all on toward the same precious prize!
Oh, Kimi, with tear-filled eyes, my heart breaks for you all, but you have paid your MIL a beautiful tribute. That is such a joyful photo and amazing perspective you have shared with us all.

Thinking of you and yours.
Well said dear girl. We love you and are praying for all of you.
What a beautiful woman, and lovely words you have written. I’m praying for you and your family.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rev 21:4
Praying that the Lord will comfort your family through this valley.
I’m so sorry to hear that, our thoughts are with you and your family. Big hugs.
May her memory be eternal!
So sorry for your loss. I pray that God will wrap His comforting arms of love around each one of you in the coming days and months.
While I do not personally know your family, my parents were familiar with Gregg Harris from home school seminars way back in the day.
Our condolences. We are praying for Sono’s family. We are so grateful to have been touched by her ministry and her amazing children. What a blessing she was to so many!
so very sorry to learn of your loss. how wonderful that you had the common bond of the love of Jesus and were able to build so many beautiful memories of time spent with her. while you will one day see her again and can take comfort in that fact, it is still difficult to not have your loved one with you any longer on this earth and for that reason i will keep you in my prayers. God bless.
Kimi, I’ve been reading your blog for a while now but have never commented until today. I’m so very sorry about the sad news. I first read it today on Josh’s blog and I thought the same thing as Jen who commented earlier, she truly is celebrating Independence Day… the Son has set her free and she is Free Indeed!
Your family is in my prayers.
Praying for you & the rest of Sono’s family, and glad she’s able to sit at her Master’s feet now and truly enjoy Him forever.
Beautiful words . . . so comforting and best of all, true. Praying for your family.
What a sweet tribute…
Kimi,
I met you and Mrs. Harris at one of the earliest Rebelution conferences… and now I grieve with you at the earthly loss of her death. Praying for you and your family during this challenging time. Losing a dear friend – and the mother of your best earthly friend, is a great struggle. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
~Rebekah

Dear Kimi:
I am thinking of you, your family and Sono. What a beautiful tribute and what a beautiful picture of her! My husband and I practice tai chi and at the end of each practice, there is a moment where we do a movement called “carrying tigers” and this is where we remember all those who have passed or else who need thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow we will carry tigers for you, your family and Sono in our tai chi practice.
Prayers to all of your family Kimi. You describe her as having a beautiful soul, it is so evident by the photo you are sharing with us. She is beautiful. May our Heavenly Father continue to be glorified througout this season in your life.
Much love
Carmen
My condolences to you and your family.
Though it is never easy to loose a loved one, what wonderful peace it is to know that as a Christ follower she is now pain free and with her King. Your family will be reunited with her in God’s timing! Praying for you and your family. I have been touched greatly by your family’s ministries, thanks in part to Sono. Glory to Him!
I have only recently discovered your blog but I was so intrigued and interested in your mother and what you had to say about your family. My condolences to you and the family. May God be with you as you remember and celebrate her life, and may He be with you, too, in your grieving.
my condolences.
What a wonderful tribute! Such a lovely picture! I have recently found your website and didn’t realize the family connection. What a wonderful family heritage. I pray for comfort for each of you she left behind in the days to come.
Sorry for your loss. How sad! but, you seem to have a great perspective on “the tree of life”. I wish you all well.
Randy
I was wondering… now I know. I’m so sorry, Kimi. So sad for you all, but yet we share in the hope that you have. I am praising God that Sono is with Him in glory. Praying for you all… let’s talk soon. *hugs*
May the God of all comfort be with you at this sad time, but may you know joy as you rest in the knowledge that she is in heaven, with no more tears or pain. xox
Thank you for a beautiful piece; especially for reminding us of C.S.Lewis, who also gave of himself.
What a wonderful photo of her. I’m so sorry for your loss.
What a lovely woman. God be with you.
Prayers of thanksgiving for her life and for comfort to your family.
My prayers are with your family. Even though Sono is no longer her with you, I’m am so glad that she is out of suffering and home with Jesus. The quote from the Last Battle is very fitting. What a way to look at eternity with our Lord!
