This is a very fast, Chinese style meal to make at home when you have less than 10 minutes to whip something up. It’s delicious, fast, and always a crowd favorite. I like to make a huge bowl of this for potlucks etc, as it pleases both the fast food eating crowd as well as the health conscious folks.

Today I have a colorful guest post about eating organic and why we should. After reading The Detox Book by Bruce Fife, I’ve been motivated to find ways to eat more organic–not perfect, but ever improving!

In my post I discuss intermittent fasting. We all need to listen to our bodies more. When you are ready to make yourself some food ask yourself… “am I truly hungry?” I have been realizing that I am not hungry as I once thought. I now simply eat when I am hungry.

Eating less, especially when the food is not the best such as restaurants can save someone loads of time and money. Many people eat 2 large meals in a day. With this you are more apt to make a nice, nourishing meal. Skip your next meal and see how you feel… you may find yourself with more energy!

This weeks post is a recipe for gluten free sprouted tortillas. I’m so amazed these taste good! I usually don’t like sprouted tortillas because they taste like cardboard and the gf tortillas from the store are pretty nasty. These taste wonderful and they don’t break when you fold them for tacos!

    Thanks for hosting, Kimi!

This lentil salad is one of the easiest and cheapest recipes we’ve ever posted. I seriously make it about once a week, especially when I’m relying on the pantry!

Good day, I am new to your blog and am enjoying it. I am always looking for ways to make food delicious, healthy and frugal. I would the tow things I do is a well stock pantry and freezer full of unbaked, healthy, whole grain items, ready any time I need them. This is a sub I have blogged about for a long time and I find my readers find this helps them to. I am off to read more of your blog. Clarice

I always have extra egg-whites in the fridge and tweaked a madeleine recipe to use them up. These cake-like cookies are delicious.

I am also doing a raw cheese giveaway from 5 Spoke Creamery- deadline is next Wednesday. Just leave a comment on my “Cripsy Pizza” post to enter.

My post may not seem particularly frugal, since it deals with a big cut of beef, but it fed us for a week in various forms.

I love food blogs… they are so interesting and always full of great ideas! I am fairly cheap and frugal when it comes to cooking, I love farmer’s markets and you pick farms! It gets the whole family involved and my kids have a love and appreciation for good healthy and mostly organic food! I also think it is very important to spend less else where, if it means eating healthier and more organic! Forget starbucks and rental movies!
