I have really enjoyed all of the guest contributors I have had in the past as well as recently. New thoughts, new ideas, and new kitchen tricks come from that new blood. I am considering having guest contributors make a more regular appearance here on The Nourishing Gourmet. This means two things.

First, if you are a blogger who shares similar values (or a writer without a blog), you can consider applying. I am looking for bloggers/writers who are passionate about nourishing, real food but would like another avenue to talk about this topic. Perhaps you are trying to build up your own readership. Blogging for me can help you reach thousands of new readers. I am mostly looking for those willing to share recipes, though occasional topical posts would be fine too.

If you are a reader here, you are the most important part of the equation. How do you feel about me opening my blog up to guest posts? I value your thoughts and suggestions. On the one hand, I always have a lot of write about. On the other hand, I really love hearing the different perspectives of my guest bloggers as they bring their thoughts to the table.

So readers, what do you think about guest contributors here on The Nourishing Gourmet?

And, writers and bloggers, if you are interested in being a contributor here at The Nourishing Gourmet, please download the following page for more information on applying.

P.S. The above picture has nothing to do with this topic, but it looked so yummy, I thought I’d share it again. It’s chocolate whipped cream. 🙂

I love beautiful and simple food that is nourishing to the body and the soul. I wrote Fresh: Nourishing Salads for All Seasons and Ladled: Nourishing Soups for All Seasons as another outlet of sharing this love of mine. I also love sharing practical tips on how to make a real food diet work on a real life budget. Find me online elsewhere by clicking on the icons below!

I thought yesterdays guest post was great — I tried to comment, but for some reason, it wasn’t giving me a comment box! Keep ’em coming!

I think it’s a great idea, especially with a recipe focus, but I agree with Jamie. 🙂

I would love to read guest posts because I love gathering wealth from a variety of sources. I regularly view your blog and love it. The plus with more guest posts would be that if it is on your site, it would be reflecting your values and nutritional advice. I am ready to enjoy all the tips I can get! And recipes…

As a blogger – and a reader, I’d love to see more guest posts (as long as there’s still plenty from you!), and I’d love to contribute some time in the future as well.

Guest posts are great (and it gives you some breaks!). You have a beautiful crisp, clean blog that I just love! So some guest posts are good….as long as you share the majority 🙂

Nikki shares my thoughts as well! Love your posts and would enjoy reading guest posts, but you are the reason I read this blog.

I agree about the crispness of this blog. It is so well focused. I’d like to see that continue, whatever you decide about guest posts.

What I would like to see is someone who shares your personal philosophy and can show us how they apply that to their unique lifestyle. For example, they may have more children than you do, or live-in elderly parents, or a family not yet interested in this way of eating. I really enjoy your style and would find it helpful to see how it plays out in different family settings.

I completely agree with EileenH. Personally, I am not interested in the recipes. I AM interested in the INFORMATION and how to apply it to my own life and family. I am also interested in the philosophy that inspires me to make changes. I don’t typically take the time to read guest posts because I don’t “know” the writers and therefore don’t know where they’re coming from. But if it fell into the parameters of what EileenH described above, I would be more interested for sure. I might consider applying for a spot as well – I do have a blog but don’t have time to post regularly. A guest post might be something I could do.

I think EileenH has a great point. I love reading how you do what you do for your family but we are in a different season altogether. I’ve got grown and nearly grown sons and I’m still homeschooling our teen. Our journey to health started because of dye allergies and gluten intolerance and over time has brought us to a more Nourishing Traditions way of eating. I have so much to learn.

hi kimi….i also agree with eileenh. i’m sure all of us who read your blog share the same philosphy on a nourishing lifestyle, but we came to it for different reasons and under different circumstances. we embarked on this journey about 6 years ago when my children were 2 and 5. i so wish i knew all this before children! oh well, we only do the best we can with what we know at the time, right? it’s nice to hear how others started their journey, what they’ve learned, and how it’s adapted in their own families. but of course your insights are always appreciated, kimi, so don’t think we want to hear too much less from you!!

I like guest posts although I am not so focused on the philosophy. I am willing to submit recipes although I can only think of 4 in my repertoire that would fit.
