It’s been quite the week here at our home! There is always something to do, something to cook, and someone to love on. Just how it should be.
Meanwhile, I have been really enjoying coming up with some new frugal dinners and meal plans for us during this tight season of life with Joel in school. There is something so satisfying about taking on a challenge and making progress in an area. Speaking of which, it sounds like everyone is happy with their progress in our Kitchen Cleaning Carnivals so far! Isn’t it a great feeling to have a clean refrigerator and freezer?
But now it’s time to share your frugal and nourishing tips!

this week i’m sharing an frugal enchilada sauce recipe (home made stock, a few spices, some flour) and tips for using whole wheat flour as thickener. i haven’t cooked with sprouted flour, that’s next for me. Today we have a great guest post about healing with food, instead of medicine. Much less expensive and better for you too. 🙂

I don’t know why Mr Linky isn’t changing the title………. it’s banana bread this week not salmon salad sandwiches! It had the right link in the box before I added it but when I added it it shows up wrong…. should link right though. Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure you are changing the first thing, where is says “name”. It will autofill with what you said the last time. 🙂

Ahh, that’s what I am doing wrong……. I was only changing the second line 🙂 Will do it right next time!

@jana love “left over” soup. a pot of stock is the perfect vehicle for bits of protein, veggies or grains that need using up!
Jana
Jenna, soup IS a perfect (and oft-used) vehicle for leftovers. However, mine normally barely pass the “acceptable” rating. But this one earned a “soup-er” rating from the hubby. Success!
