I always feel weird being first LOL

Sharing my fish patties post- I never thought that almond flour would work with fish, but it was really yummy. Even non-GAPS hubby loved them.

And now I’m going to go clean out a kitchen drawer 🙂 Loving the organizing series!

ooh, i’m going to go check out the fish patties. i’m on the fence about fish, conflicting info on safe fish. farmed fish is affordable, but much is corn-fed, wild caught is pricey, and may still be too high in mercury. love fish patties.

this week i’m sharing how i finally came over to the grains soaking side, it enabled steel cut oats stove top in 7 minutes.

Grass-fed sirloin is rubbed in a mixture of ancho chilies, fresh garlic, Mexican oregano, comino and piloncillo, then quickly seared over a wood fire. Served with salt & pepper-fried plantains and home-cooked frijoles charros, at a cost of about $3.50/person

Parmesan Chicken: Take split chicken breasts, put big pats of butter on top of each piece (enough to melt and cover each piece), grate lots of parmesan cheese over top, and bake until done. Goes great with just about anything. 😀

I just looked at the soaked sourdough pizza dough recipe (via link #12), and I’m really excited to try it! I’m still new to the nourishing traditions way of cooking, and I’ve been looking for a great sourdough pizza dough recipe. We have homemade pizza every Friday night. That’s another way to be frugal, by the way. You can make a “clean out the fridge” pizza with leftover meat.

    Hi Kimi/ others,

I have a random question: what do you think about food combining? I have read that you should not combine certain foods as it hampers digestion. For example toast and eggs is a no no but eggs and spinach is good. It is all to do with digestive enzymes and how we digest different foods. I would love to have porridge and fruit and honey but afterwards always feel bloated – and wonder if this is why.
Just wondered if you had any thoughts on this subject.
