With apple and pumpkin pies, roasted nuts, hot chocolate and fragrant tea, steamy soups and filling stews, Fall is a time of comfort food. The weather is starting to cool, comfy sweaters are starting to appear and delicious Fall food is starting to grace our table.

I think it’s time for another carnival!

As a cook, there are so many wonderful fall ingredients to work with. And, after a long time of eating cooling food for the summer, it’s so satisfying to start eating warming and rich stews and other comfort dishes.

YES! I am so glad that Fall is here!

But I know that I am not the only one enjoying Fall recipes, and I would love to hear some of your favorite nourishing, Fall recipes! Perhaps you have a favorite apple pie, muffin or bread recipe. Or maybe you have the perfect squash soup. Others of you may have some delicious pear recipe just waiting to be shared(like a pear tart, or a roasted pear recipe). I personally have been enjoying the cabbage in season around here. Let’s share! You can share dessert, sides, salads, and soups, and main dishes. Just remember to keep it nourishing as well as delicious!

For those of us who have to keep frugality in mind as well, I know that we would appreciate it if you mention tips for buying Fall ingredients at a good price, and frugal recipes are always welcome as well.

So here’s the plan, on October the 21st (a Tuesday), I will be hosting another open carnival.
For bloggers: Everyone who wants to be involved can post their favorite recipe on their own blog on that day, linking to the carnival post. Then head over here to use the Mr. Linky to link to your post.
For everyone else: Leave your recipes in the comment section. If you have a beautiful picture, send it my way, and I may even post it on my blog!

I can’t wait to what everyone has to share. And feel free to spread the word!

    Hey Michelle,
Great, thanks for the entry! The carnival actually isn’t until the 21st, but I can put your link in for you on that date if you want. 🙂

You can see how I have done past carnivals by checking out my last one, here.

I can’t wait for this carnival! Fall is my favorite season, and I just adore the fruits and vegetables that are at their prime in autumn. Plus, there’s nothing like warm, comforting food contrasted with the nip in the air. Mmmm…

I used the photo above to promote the carnival on my blog. I hope that’s okay. In your previous carnivals, you’ve encouraged bloggers to do that, but I didn’t see a note about it this time. If you’d like me to take it down, I will!

    Curry Leave,
I will be glad to enter your addition for you! I see that it is listed in the links below. Thank you for being part of it. To see what a “carnial ” is like, follow the link in my last comment. 🙂

    Alison,
As always, I so appreciate you blogging about an event here! Thank you! And you are more than welcome to use the photo. 🙂 I am looking forward to seeing what you have to share!

    Michele,
    Will do!

    Suzanne, and everyone one else,

I think that I haven’t made what a carnival is very clear! Please check out one of my other carnivals to see how it works. 🙂

I don’t mind at all putting a link on for someone who has a reason for not blogging on that day, but that’s not how it normally works and I don’t want to be in charge of putting getting everyone’s posts up because I might miss someone’s. 😉

Perhaps I need to do my recipe carnivals like others do, and just have everyone email me their link. 🙂 Maybe it’s less confusing that way!

Anyway, check out the other carnivals, and you will see how it works. It’s actually quite easy. 🙂
