From the Archives: Irish Soda Bread

While visiting a popular recipe site, I was trying to browse through her recipes. But I found that it was quite hard because she didn’t have good categories to click on or a recipe index. While I do have categories on the side bar (which I hope are helpful), I realized that I didn’t have a recipe index. I have been working the last few weeks, in my spare moments, to create one. Through the process I was reminded of some of my old favorite recipes that I had forgotten about, and was surprised at how many recipes this site already has on it! Anyway, it’s finally done! And I will continue to update it as I add more recipes. I hope that in creating this I have made it easier for you to browse through my recipes, or find ones that you are looking for.

Here are a few favorite recipes from the archives that I am going to be making soon. I just have to adapt them to be dairy free, as some of the recipes were created when I was still able to have dairy.

Irish Soda Bread

This crusty bread is so delicious. I remember that when I first got taken off of dairy, I was able to create a dairy free version. I will be revisiting that again, because this bread is something I am craving right now! I just have to wait for my soft wheat berries to come in, as I just ordered some.
Crockpot Chicken and Quinoa

I have really been falling off the bandwagon in planning our Sunday afternoon meal. I am going to try to improve again in that area. This recipe is both delicious and easy, since it’s in a crockpot. I have it on the menu for this week.

Homemade Crackers

This were so delicious that I am hoping to be able to come up with a dairy free version. But if you can have dairy, check them out. I am also thinking, if all goes well, to start trying to use this dough in more roles, such as pastry dough. We shall see what I come up with.
