I’ve closed the comments on our stainless steel ice cube tray and, using a random number generator, picked our winner! (Also, read below for a coupon for Nourishing Gourmet readers for The Tickle Trunk!)

The winner is………………

Comment Number 38, Becky!

“Becky 06.03.09 at 12:06 pm

I’ve been wanting to make your mounds candy bars for so long, and this would be the perfect excuse to finally try them! Maybe we’d make ice occasionally, too.”

Becky, congratulations! I will be emailing your email address to The Tickle Trunk. I hope you enjoy your new ice cube tray!

For everyone else, sorry you didn’t win. I wanted everyone too. *smile* But remember, you can purchase your own at The Tickle Trunk. Here’s a coupon code for my readers to use to get five dollars off of the stainless steel ice cube tray, “nourish”.

Thanks again, Tickle Trunk, for a great give away and the coupon!

Hooray! Thanks so much. I’ve never won a giveaway and had already forgotten I entered. Now I need to get some good coconut so I’m ready to go.

    Unrelated to post, I apologize:
I just read this article, from Harvard, of all places:
    http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/fats-full-story/index.html
It’s good that it’s debunking low-fat diets, but it also made this statement, which I object to strongly! “Our bodies can make all the saturated fat we need, so we don’t need to eat any of it.” In fact, that paragraph about “bad fat” goes on to specifically mention coconut oil. Argh.

I was trying to find information for my daughter’s fiancee, one of the fittest gals I’ve ever known, whose doctor has put her on a lowfat diet because her cholesterol is high. The girls think I’m nuts with my “theories” of nutrition!

Anyway I thought you might like to see that article & possibly weigh in on it.

Hi kimi, I have a quick unrelated question and I figured since it pertains to alot of your recipes I should just post is on your newest post.

In all of your recipes you use either lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for your soaking, I’m curious, if I would still like to use whey, Could I just sub out for the same ammount? Or do I need to add more or use less in that case?

I know this is really off topic for this post, sorry about that. But thanks for the time.
