Over at Babble, you will find a recipe by yours truly, Almond Thumb Print Cookies. They asked their nominated top 100 mom food bloggers to share a recipe, and I was glad to do so.

This recipe is based off of the same concept as these cookies. Whole almonds are ground in a food processor to form the base of delicious, protein rich cookies. We love them. Simple, healthy cooking at itโ€™s best.

(By the way, as I have experimented, Iโ€™ve found these keep the right texture best when not kept in an air tight container.)

Would be tremendously helpful if you could also suggest the honey equivalent for the sugar in the almond cookie recipe.
    Thanks so much.

My 3yo and I threw these together this afternoon and they were delicious! My son says thanks because… “I even got to squish my thumb in the food!” Can’t thank you enough, I’ve been looking for a good almond cookie recipe. And thank you so much for all your hard work on the blog. It’s truly a lifesaver. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Kimi,
These look delicious. I was wondering if it would be possible to soak the almonds first. Do you think they would make the recipe flop?

      Devorah,

I am not sure. You certainly could use soaked and then dehydrated almonds with good success. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Kimi,

Could you use almond flour, do you think? Or would that alter the cookie too much?

    Thanks!

Hi, the Babble site appears to be down. Could you post or link to the recipe somewhere else? Thank you so much. I absolutely love these cookies and I want to share the recipe with my friends.
