I wanted to make just a few blog housekeeping comments.
First a Thank you
First, thank you all so much for joining in on our last carnival, Nourishing New Year Resolutions! It was so inspiring to read everyone’s goals, and it was also nice to read a little more about you through your posts. Thank you!
And a Reminder
Now it’s time to get out your nourishing soup and stew recipes! This Wednesday there will be a Nourishing Soups and Stews Carnival that I would love to have you participate in. I have been working with a few soups, and have one to share that we just love. So I am looking forward to sharing that, as well as getting all of your recipes.
Then a “I fixed it”
Some of you very kindly mentioned that many of my links in my recipe index were not working. I finally found a moment to go through all of the recipes and fix any broken links. So now you should be able to peruse through the recipes as you like. I am sorry they weren’t working before! But they are fixed now.
I will be posting my carnival most likely tomorrow evening. See you then!

Hi Kimi,
What about your other link for the palm sugar? Did you get that link working and will they give you for that if people tell what they got?

hi Jessica,
I have tried to find out from them, but haven’t really received an answer yet. Thanks for checking in about that, I appreciate it! 🙂

Kimi,
I just wanted you to know how much my husband and I have enjoyed your blog since I stumbled on your recipe for whole wheat crackers…we really, really appreciate finding a great source of recipes like yours for wholesome, creative and from-scratch foods that we love experimenting with ourselves.
That said, I would love to find out how you render lard at home! 🙂 We make our own stocks, often make our pasta, and make all our own crackers, breads, etc. We have tried buying lard from stores around us but have yet to find good options, so we’d love to render it ourselves. Any time you are ready to pass that on, we’d be psyched!
Best,
Ingrid
And thanks again for an awesome site…

Hi Ingrid,
Thanks for the kind comment. 🙂 I remembered that you had mentioned needing some instructions for rendering lard. I will definitely try to render the rest of my lard, and take pictures of it for you within the next few weeks. 🙂

I was going to order some things from Mt Rose soon- do I just click their button on your blog? And I agree with Ingrid..your blog is SPLENDID!!! I wanted to to ask you your opinion about sucanat vs. Rapadura- are they the same? or is there a significant difference? (besides price!)
KimiHarris
Hi Vehement Flame,
Thanks for the sweet comment. 🙂 Yes, you can just click on their button on my blog. I greatly appreciate everyone’s support. I am fairly certain that it’s just been fixed- though not positive. Would you mind letting me know when you ordered, so I can see if it worked? Thanks so much!
As far as sucanat and rapadura, it seems that they are pretty much made the same way, so I would say that either is good. 🙂
