Homemade Glühwein (German Mulled Wine)

Serves: 1 bottle
- 1 bottle dry red wine
- 1 organic lemon
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 3 cloves
- ¼ cup honey
- ground cardamom
- Ground cardamom
- Combine all ingredients except for the cardamom into a clean pot.
- Heat gently to near boiling (around 170°F), but do not allow to boil.
- Turn off heat and let sit covered for 1 hour.
- Add a small amount of cardamom to taste (this adds depth to the flavor).
- Enjoy warm!
