Would you like a $400 dollar Le Creuset French Oven and do you like nourishing recipes? Read on.

Since I started talking about Dr. Price, nutrient dense foods, as well as sharing some of the stories of those who have healed their teeth using real food (Are you really eating a nutrient dense diet?, The Diet that Cures Cavities, We Need a Synergy in Nutrients). I have gotten many requests for more practical help. When I sat down and wrote down all of the ideas and suggestions I had, I actually got pretty overwhelmed as I realized how big of a project this was going to turn out to be.

At that point I was thinking I could start writing a large book again and get back to you all in a year or two. But then I had another idea. I have been getting various magazines and have enjoyed using them for inspiration in my cooking. But I almost always have to seriously adapt recipes from them to my dietary convictions or needs. A little thought started blooming. Then, a lovely radio show I follow, The Splendid Table, started producing quarterly ebooks, called “Eating in with Lynne” (Lynne Rossetto Kasper is the host of the show). The idea of these books is to invite readers (or in her case, listeners) in to her home to show what foods she likes to prepare on an everyday basis. I bought her book and found it so fun! I almost immediately knew that this is what I wanted to bring to you! I want to share some of the everyday recipes that help me bring Dr. Price’s research to my own table.

This further blossomed my idea of bringing you quarterly publications that center on nourishing, traditional foods. And it has a name. The name is ‘Everyday Nourishing Food with Kimi Harris‘ It’s kind of like an emagazine, except the whole concept of emagazine and ebook are so blurred, I don’t know how important the distinction is.

I’ve been working hard on it, and have my first edition ready to buy. You can check out my page for it here or buy it here to use the coupon code, or buy a kindle version here  Through the 8th of June, you can get two dollars off by using the coupon code, “everyday2off” when buying directly from my website.

I.am.so.excited.

When I first started working on doing meals based on Dr. Price’s guidelines, I found that I was basically just doing my soup cookbook over again, with sides added in. Not a bad idea, but, hey, I love the 120 recipes in my soup cookbook, Ladled: Nourishing Soups for all Seasons, and I wasn’t ready to come up with 20 new soup recipes. Though, soups are an excellent way to add nutrient dense broths and foods to a diet.

But some of you were asking about other options. Many of you have my soup cookbook and I have been so blessed with the emails and thoughts you’ve sent my way about my recipes (warms my heart every single time!), but what about those days you don’t want soup?

One of my goals for this series is to give you other options yet still get in a lot of those nutrient dense foods that Dr. Price talks about. I also wanted to publish this information in a form that was affordable for my readers (it only costs $3 with the coupon code that works through June 8th!).

For example, we love Lebanese food, but sometimes it’s not truly gluten-free at restaurants, so I make my own at home. This Lebanese meal is a delicious favorite. Oh, and it features homemade chicken broth, pastured butter, grass-fed beef, vegetables, cheese (for those who can have it), homemade dressing, and more.

Especially if you combine it with the Kiwi Strawberry Smoothie, you have a completely Dr. Price approved meal…no soup in site.

Or what about the pasta recipe featured on the top picture of this post? This pasta has liver carefully hidden inside flavorful homemade Italian Sausage, and a lemony sauce utilizing mineral rich broth and butter, along with dark greens, and roasted radishes. Sounds so fancy, but is completely doable.

Or what about my paleo chili recipe? This includes liver, grassfed beef, and bone broth. Simmer it thick and serve it over my quick baked potatoes with butter (and/or sour cream), and you have a soupless, filling meal that our whole family loves and I have made over and over again these last couple months.

An example of a nourishing lunch includes this Mexican salad sandwich that I pack in my husband’s lunch for a very filling and nutritious meal.

These are the types of practical recipes that you will find in my ebook. Go here to get the book index and watch a video to introduce this series of quarterly ebooks.

The other thing I want to say is that this first ebook is the beta version. I am looking and wanting feedback from you as to what you most want to see in a publication like this. Please use my contact form and let me know!

Because I was so excited about this quarterly publication and because I wanted to get the news out about it, I asked Le Creuset if they would be willing to partner with me in a giveaway. And I am thrilled to say that they said yes! We are giving away the exact same Le Creuset pot that I have literally used almost every single day of my life since I got it. It’s a 7.25 quart big boy, and I love it.

People always told me that when you get one of these enameled, cast iron pots, you won’t regret it, and you will use it all the time. I thought maybe they were overstating, but since I bought my own I’ve found that statement to be so true. I used it for so many of my recipes when I was making Ladled, and I continue to roast chickens in it, boil noodles, make broth and soups in it and more, all the time. I can’t recommend them enough, as I use mine almost every single day. Plus, you know that they are a safe, non-toxic cookware too!

Would you like to win one too? Well, help me get the word out about Everyday Nourishing Food with Kimi Harris and you have a bunch of opportunities to put your name in the bucket!

Details: Open only to US addresses. Item is 7.25 quart round French Oven in Caribbean Blue. Winner will be picked out by random.org, and announced on June 7th. This sounds fabulous! I love this concept. If I may make a suggestion … Your typography could be more enticing. Not using italics would be a good start. I’m a graphic designer, so I may be the only one who is noticing this. Best wishes!
