It’s been quite cold here recently, even cold enough to freeze our chickens water dish! But yet I still find myself making smoothies (and perhaps adding a layer or two of warmth with a jacket or sweater while I indulge myself). This smoothie is so very delicious that I could drink it everyday! Coconut [...]

Springy, soft, slightly sweet eggs are whipped into fluff and cooked-starting on the stovetop and then finished in the oven. Spread a little sweet jam on top, like the raw berry jam recipe which is what we used, and you have a sweet breakfast, dinner or lunch. I love the sweet version, but I bet that savory versions would be delicious too (already have some ideas for it!). It also just happens to be gluten, grain and dairy free! I love how quickly this is to whip up too.

These biscuits have a wonderful light texture from the soaking period and are nice and rich even though they are whole wheat. We enjoy them with eggs, or with hearty soups and stews and baked beans. I love how easy these are to make too! One morning, I was able to finish these up in 15 minutes (and that's with cooking time).

A kind reader, Sarah, recently sent a recipe she had created for chicken apple sausages, and I knew I had to try them!
