I don’t have a blog post to share, but I have signed up with Tropical Traditions for their sale e-mail. This week, they are offering their best deal on “gold label” coconut oil – $99 for 2 gallons. I wait until I see that sale and then stock up…

Hi Kimi,
Today I’m sharing a little bit about my obsession with liver and other organ meats plus my favorite way to prepare beef liver. Organ meats are very nutrient dense and tend to be budget friendly.

Hey, Kimi! My post today is a guest post — a chocolate torte with citrus cheese frosting. The torte is unbelieveably beautiful and certainly frugal compared to purchasing a similar torte from a high-quality bakery.

I am using lots of vegetables, these days and they are delicious. Just think, I almost never ate veggies, a year ago and now, I am happy eating them every day.

Locally-milled corn grits are simmered in homemade vegetable stock, then combined with raw farmhouse cheddar, fried onions, fresh peppers, garlic, cumin and cilantro and topped with smoky chipotle chili sauce. Omnivores may add seasoned, ground bison or pastured beef for additional protein. Either way, these Brazos de Dios Chili Cheese Grits make a pretty tasty and inexpensive weeknight dish!
