Preparing for the Wise Traditions Conference

wisetraditions

I am going to be quite busy today preparing to leave for the Wise Traditions conference. I  have clothes to wash and pack, food to prepare for Elena and Joel, papers to print-the usual stuff. I am excited about a lot of the conference sessions and am also glad that it sounds like I am going to be able to do some live blogging at the event! This way you will be able to hear snippets of the conference as the weekend progresses. If you don’t already, follow me on twitter! Because I will be twitting about it as well.

If you haven’t already, check out the conference sessions and let me know if there are any that you would particularly like to have me live blog. I would love to hear what you are most interested in.  Truthfully, there are so many that sound good that I am going to have hard time deciding which ones to make priority! I will also be at the Real Food Media table talking to readers and potential sponsors. If you are coming, please introduce yourself! I would love to meet you.

If any live in the area, you really should at least get a day pass, or come and see all of the sponsors booths. There is going to be some great food there!

Meanwhile, don’t forget that we have Pennywise Platter Thursday tomorrow and I will be using a Mr. Linky for the first time. I realized that I was spending all of my time formatting everyone’s entries instead of getting the chance to always read them! Secondly, it will get everyone’s posts up right away. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway for Real Food for Mother and Baby too!

Hi Kimi
wow it’s hard even to pick what I would like for you to blog about. Some that I would be interested in would be fermenting foods with Scott Gryzbek, Kathy Pirtle on acid reflux and GERD, Sally’s honoring the sacred foods and Chris on cruciferous vegetables. Thanks so much.

This book looks great. I have a 2 year old son and am considering another child. I’d love to have a copy.

They all sound incredible. Specifically though the raw milk seminar by Ted Beals, all 3 Kaayla Daniels sessions, the kefir session, the cod liver oil session, and the one about cruciferous vegetables sounds intriguing. I am not familiar with how this works — do we have to be online during the time of the session or can we just come by your website and read what you’ve posted at the end of the day? I so wish I were going! Maybe next year.

Have fun at the conference. Are you going to the Tom Cowan presentation at the Chicago Waldorf School on Friday evening? It should be a nice event.

You are so fortunate to be able to go! I’d love to know about the Scott Gryzbek fermentation session; kefir; cruciferous vegies; Jeannette Turner on food and kids; cooking;
I love the fact that Windsor Dairy is doing a presentation. They are my local raw milk source-hoo-ray for Windsor!

Excellent, Kimi! And thanks for asking – I’d love to hear about: Seminar on Traditional Diets; Chris Masterjohn: Bearers of the Cross: Cruciferous Vegetables and the Principal of Moderation; The Magic of Kefir; ANYthing on coconut oil; Nightshades: The Inflammatory Scientific Evidence. I know you can only be in one place at a time…so I’ll look forward to hearing any details you glean.
Have fun!!

I don’t know if I’m too late to put in my 2 cents but I’m quite interested in the nutrtion and the autonomic nervous system seminar.
Seems like that would be pretty “fundamental” – our nervous system function is so crucial to good health and a sense of well-being.
