On second thought, I bet what you heard was that you lose the enzymes when you cook (enzymes that are released in the soaking/sprouting process), but what you gain from soaking, even when you cook them, is neutralizing the phytic acid, which prevents you from absorbing important nutrients. So soaking is still important even when you are cooking grains, :-)</description>
